NOTAMS are "Notes to Airmen"  This page will contain notes about the flying field that you as pilots need to take note of and be aware of.  Please check this NOTAMS page often to keep up with the latest conditions at the field.

Proposed Relocation Area:

A site on Brian Hanlon’s property at 52860 E. Quincy Ave. Strasburg, CO 80136 was identified as a potential area for the club.  This site is accessed from E. Quincy Avenue and is about 300’ north of the road.  Approximately 10 acres will need to be leased to accommodate a 500’ x 55’ runway that will run EAST-WEST, parallel to Quincy.  The model aircraft will fly to the north of the runway, away from the road.   The runway will start as a graded ground area, and eventually be covered with a textile fabric.  The intent is to not use any permanent materials to construct the runway (asphalt or concrete).

 The proposed site is already contained by a fence and will have a security gate with a combination lock. A parking area on the 10 acres will be graded, as will an access road from the gate to the runway and pit area.
