FLIGHT LOG FOR SEPTEMBER MEETING
QUORUM
Mr. Secretary, do we have a quorum for a meeting? We need at least 13 of our 126 members? Yes with 27 members present. The meeting was called to order at 7 PM.
Present Membership now stands at 126.
SECRETARIES REPORT
The minutes of the August meeting were published on the Mile Hi RC Web site.
Motion was made and seconded to accept the minutes of the August meeting. Motion carried.
TREASURES REPORT
The checking account now stands at $
Motion was made and seconded to accept the Treasurer’s report. Motion carried.
WELCOME
Bill Herzberger was introduced as a new member.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Publicity and Publications Committee Report
Chris Branam, the Newsletter Editor needs contributions to the newsletter.
Contest Committee
No contests scheduled.
Field Maintenance Committee
Marv Sanders gave a report on the condition of the field. Thanks to Dave Teich and Marv for hauling the gravel and spreading it on the rocks in the flight cages.
Field Safety Committee
Roy Olsen gave a report on safety issues at the field. There have not been any major safety violations.
OLD BUSINESS
1. AURORA PARADE. The City of Aurora parade will be September 15, 2001. Marv Sanders report: Ten people are presently planning to participate. The truck will be there by 8 a.m. Others participating need to be in place by 9 a.m. We are float number 72.
2. POTLUCK DINNER. We had a potluck dinner on September 8. Dave Teich, Mario Accardi, and Troy Gardner were the only ones who showed up because of the weather.
3.WORK PARTY. There will be a work party on September 22 starting at 8am. We need people to help patch the runways and replace nails in the tin roofs with screws. Also need to bring leaf blowers to blow off the runways. Bring hammers, battery powered drills, ladders, trowels, gloves, utility knives, 5/16" sockets for drills etc. Larry Symons will provide a generator. Denny will bring donuts. Bring your own coffee.
4. FINANCIAL AUDIT. Committee report: Dave Teich, Jim Lewis, and Bill Robinson completed the financial audit of the club books. All was in order.
5. MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS. Tom Hanselin sent out letters and applications to all current members for renewal. Please return your application and payment so you can continue to enjoy the sport at Mile Hi RC in the new year. To date we have about 40 people who have sent in their dues for 2002.
NEW BUSINESS
1. PATCHES. The Board has authorized distribution of one patch to each 2002 member, since the patches have been changed.
2. ELECTIONS OF NEW BOARD. The following people were elected, by acclamation, to the new Board which will begin operation October 1, 2001.

3. LIBRARY George Kerr has the club library up and running. Please see George to check out items from the library. There is a list of available books, tapes, etc. on the web site.

NEXT BOARD MEETING
The next two Board meeting will be held at 7pm at John Corliss house, on October 8.
NEXT MONTHLY MEETING
The next monthly meeting will be at 7pm, October 10, 2001 at the Aurora South Library.
