September 25, 2004- Gardner Kansas - National Scale Masters Competition Mile HI R/ C Flying Club Members Brian O'Meara and Jim Hammond place 1st in Team Scale Competition! Unfortunately, Jim could not attend. Click on image to enlarge Brian And Bonnie at Scale Masters 2004 Good news for Colorado.!!! The plane, a Japanese KI -61Tony, that Jim Hammond built, static score was a 99.5. I got the overall best average of the best three rounds. We flew five rounds. I also got the highest single flight score of 95.5. That was better than Terry Nitch with his BVM F- 100 turbine.!! This is the second major contest I got the highest single flight score. I got a 98.75 for my best flight last April at Top Gun. Frank Tiano told me that the 98.75 is the best flight score ever flown at any Top Gun. Brian

Dateline Lakeland Florida May 2, 2004: Mile Hi R/ C Members and Team Scale partners Brian O'Meara and Jim Hammond place 8th in the 2004 Top Gun Competition with a total score of 188.500 with a beautiful KI-61 Toni. Brian flew a nearly perfect round two in the competition earning a flight score of 98.750. Brian also won the award for "Best 2 Stroke Performance" Congratulations Brian and Jim.
